Inspired by these absolutely astounding photos, I went to the Auckland Zoo one day last week. While nowhere near in size to the one in Toronto, it was pretty lovely and I enjoyed my afternoon there. As I walked around, I tried to see the animals the way that Nick Brandt (the aforementioned photographer) might, even though I knew mine would look quite different what with my animals being in a zoo and not the wild, oh and on account of me being a rank amateur ;)
